Engineering Types

Different Types of Engineering (specifically offered at schools I have an interest in) Marquette- * Walsh- * pre Hope- * Franciscan- * pre Pre- 2-3 years at that school, then 2 at (Dayton, Gannon, CUA) for a Master's degree or bachelors * * * Biomedical Engineering- study biology and medicine to develop technologies related to health care. They develop medical diagnostic machines, medical instruments, artificial organs, joint replacement parts, and prosthetic devices. * * * Civil Engineering- Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. * * * Computer Engineering- Computer engineering is the design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of computers and computer-controlled equipment fo...

Science Career

Hey, this is Sara! I will be doing part of my project researching science careers. I am thinking about becoming an engineer, but am not really sure what kind or even if it will actually be what I want to do. I will be checking out the different programs at the colleges I am currently looking at. I will be researching all of the different types of engineering that there are. I enjoyed the math part of both physics and chemistry. I enjoy solving problems using equations that are given or finding the missing variable. I don't actually enjoy some of the hands on building or taking apart, and so I want to figure out if there is a type of engineering that I would enjoy that aligns with the part of math that I find interesting and the problem solving.
